Gintaras Jaronis graduated from the Vilnius Institute of Arts with a diploma thesis “Portrait in Artistic Photography” in 1987. During his studies and later, he was the head of a photo club, an art teacher; for several years he was engaged in individual creative activities.

Since 2006, he has been a multimedia specialist at Vytautas Magnus University (IT sector). For many years, he worked as a specialist (photography, video, design) at the VMU HMF Culture Research Center, and has prepared a number of thematic expositions and video materials on the topics of cultural diversity.
His photographs have been published in print and online publications.

Since 2015, he has been collaborating with the Public Institution Gabrielės Art Gallery.

In 2020-2022, he participated in an academic-cultural project – the creation of an online archive of informal publications “Lietuvos zinai”.

Gintaras Jaronis, while realizing his personal creative activities in 2014-2021, mostly photographed fragments of everyday environments and travels, using infrared photography. In this way, he sought to distance himself from the fixation of a specific time/event. He immersed himself in the world of symbols, memories, and the “mystical” world… In recent years, he has been implementing ideas in photo compositions of abstract forms using common digital photography techniques.
